NaNoWriMo!

National Novel Writing Month
NaNoWriMo

National Novel Writing Month is November. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write a short novel of 50,000 words during the month of November. While it may seem early to think about a challenge so far in advance, a little preparation beforehand can prevent blocks and false starts. Participants can not write any part of the 50,000 words before November 1st. However, participants may do character studies or outlines to prepare for NaNoWriMo. During NaNoWriMo, writers may become stuck which can impede their progress and ultimately make them feel like giving up or reduce the amount of actual writing time they have left. A chapter outline or at least a detailed idea of the storyline can be extremely beneficial!
